Here are my first figures painted. Carignan-Salieres has an unusual history in that it went to Canada in 1665 and stayed until 1668. As the Regiment later became Regt Perche I am assuming a continuation of service. which may just be just that on my part. However I really like the uniform color of brown with light grey facings. and during research on my family I discovered that I am directly decendent from a sergant in the regiment who following service in Canada was 1 of 300 men to remain behind when the regiment returned to France. Clearly this needed to be the first unit painted!
